Simple steps to get rid of the annoying shortcut arrow on all your shortcut icons– Press Windows key + R (This brings up the Run dialog box)
– Type regedit and press Enter (The opens Registry Editor)
– Navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/lnkfile
– Delete the IsShortcut registry value
– Reboot
