This had me pulling my hair out literally! QT could compile OK but refused to load my program, it had always worked previously and i could not figure out what was wrong.
Eventually I tracked it down to the fact that I had created a manifests file for my Windows based program, and while the manifests file was in the same DIR that QT was trying to load the compiled program from it will compile fine but won’t load!
